ABOUT THE POSITION Lutheran Family & Children's Services of Missouri is seeking a compassionate professional that wants to make a positive impact on the youth of our community. The LifeSkills Facilitator will implement and facilitate a prevention program, Project STEP-UP, in St. Louis County schools. This program helps youth develop resiliency and improve important life-skills like leadership, character development and problem-solving. DUTIES · Recruit, enroll and conduct pre-assessment screenings of potential participants for Project Step-Up. · Implement the Botvin LifeSkills to youth in group settings. · Provide individualized follow up coaching to students who would benefit from additional support. · Establish personal and program goals with participating youth. · Establish and maintain effective lines of communication with parents, schools and other stakeholders involved with participants. · Maintain and keep current a system of records documenting activities, youth assessments, behavioral interventions, all services rendered to youth and parents and all other data required for program evaluation. · Familiarize self with community resources and be able to make appropriate referrals for participants when needed. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum Education & Experience: Level III: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW). Licensed (LCSW or LPC) or provisionally licensed (LMSW or PLPC) in Missouri is required. 2 years of experience working with youth at different developmental stages is preferred.
