Job Description

LFCS is looking for an experienced candidate to assume the role of Director of Foster Care and Permanency Services to manage and coordinate various programs for foster care, pregnancy / parenting, adoption, and disaster services on a statewide basis to ensure quality, consistency, and stability in policies, procedures, practices, and budget and program implementations. As the Director of Foster Care and Permanency Services, you will: • Be a key member of Program Administration, reporting to the Vice President of Operations. • Ensure the provision of high quality foster care, pregnancy / parenting, adoption, and disaster services statewide. • Develop, implement and monitor applicable foster care, pregnancy / parenting, adoption, and disaster services policies, procedures and practices. • Develop, implement, maintain and operate within budgetary guidelines statewide. • Represent LFCS and serve as a liaison within the foster care, pregnancy / parenting, adoption, and disaster community including local and state partners. • Coordinate the organization's advocacy activities. • Coordinate and manage all regional office administrative activities. • Coordinate statewide outreach activities and market services on behalf of foster care, pregnancy / parenting, adoption, and disaster services.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience • Master degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or other related field. • Professional license (LPC or LCSW) in the state of Missouri. • 5 years of management experience. Knowledge/Skills/Characteristics • Extensive knowledge of adoption, birth parent and foster care services. • Knowledge of other programs that might pertain to the region. • Knowledge of budget processes. • Knowledge of church and community relations. • Extensive knowledge about advocacy programming and legislative processes affecting the agency's services and clientele. Other Requirements • Must be a licensed driver with access to a reliable automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements. Preferred Education/Experience/Knowledge • Training and compliance with the Hague Treaty factors when working in intercountry adoption.
