Lutheran Family and Children’s Services of Missouri is seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate, action oriented individual for a Human Resources Generalist. This is a full-time position
The primary function of this position is to administer various professional human resource programs and policies with an emphasis on recruitment within an AAP, ensuring the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position works closely with the Vice President of Human Resources in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.
Duties:
• Maintains the daily administration of HR Services such as recruitment, promotions, transfers, affirmative action/EEO compliance, job classification, unemployment and job performance evaluation.
• Administer, organize, develop and conduct training and development programs.
• Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting HRM.
• Develop, prepare, generate and analyze special reports pertaining to the effectiveness of program implementation, employee personnel information and data, such as; staffing, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, promotions, job classifications, etc.
• Prepare, request and maintain HR documentation necessary to support the HR function within agency policy and state and federal regulations.
• Effectively utilize the HRIS and applicant tracking system to obtain, store and analyze pertinent data and information.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in HRM or related field with 4 years of experience or High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of experience. Professional Human Resources certification preferred.
• Considerable knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles specifically; recruitment and selection procedures; Federal and State Affirmative Action and EEO rules and regulations and employment law.
• Knowledge of the principles of supervision and organizational development.
• Effective communication, time management, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills.
