Job Description

Job Title: Development Officer – Regions Cape Girardeau Full-time Lutheran Family & Children's Services of Missouri is seeking a Regional Development Officer. This position will manage and implement development efforts to raise money in support of the Cape Girardeau Office. Duties include: Develop and lead all major and planned gifts efforts for the region. Organize and implement special events for the region. Recruit, train and manage volunteers for leadership committees to support regional development efforts. Coordinate regional media efforts. Understand and integrate Regional development efforts with Foundation overall statewide annual plan, the Agency’s mission and projects and prospects for specific programs. Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field required. Two years experience in fundraising, major gifts solicitation, or sales required. Knowledge and Skills: Ability to work well with others and build relationships with volunteers and donors. Ability to manage and motivate people to volunteer. Capacity for collaborating with Foundation statewide staff and regional program staff. Skills in effectively managing multiple projects and activities with clearly defined deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills.
